Memory Verse: Genesis 16: 2
And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! Are you excited about tomorrow’s celebrations! Yes! Tomorrow, we celebrate our 100thPost. Join us in the celebrations by sending me a testimony throughsammies.dailydose@gmail.com. Share with the whole world how good has been to you!
Today we are going to continue The Genesis Story with a journey through Genesis 16 this week. Today we would be focusing on verse 2 and we would be discussing on the topic: Faith through it all!
In Genesis 16, we see that Sarai became worried that she had not bore a child. She attributed her bareness to God. She proposed that Abram have a child with her maid servant.
Every time I hear this story I am saddened by the turn of things. However, I ask myself; “If I were in her situation what would I have done?” A lot of people here this story and are quick to judge and condemn Sarai. The thing is that all of us do the same thing that Sarai did in this situation- we do not have faith during the tough times.
I have realized that a lot of Christians- when they are faced with hardship- attribute their hardship to God. They lose Faith in God once they get to a point of hardship. In Sarai’s case, it was the inability to give birth, it could be different in your case. However, you do the same this.
Today, God is asking each and every single one of us- “Do you have Faith through it all?” God has promised His children that through it all, He will be with them. In the good times and the bad times. God also told us that everything would work together for their good. If they have been given this promise, why do they fail to have faith?
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you that no matter what you go through; do not quit on God. Do not lose faith in God. He is with you through it all. He sees your hurt and He your cries. He is changing your situation. You have to go through these hard times to become stronger in Christ. Do not lose hope! You have victory. Your battles are won. Hallelujah!
If you are reading Sammie’s Daily Dose for the first time or you feel inspired this evening to join God’s family- by accepting Christ into your heart; kindly repeat this prayer.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
