The Genesis Story: Part 120- There is more in-store!

Topic: There is more in-store!

Bible Reading: Genesis 35

Memory Verse: Genesis 35:1

Then God said to Jacob, “Go up to Bethel and settle there, and build an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau?”

Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you all doing? Today, we start a journey through Genesis 35. Are you excited? I am! I cannot wait to discover what the Holy Spirit has for us this week. Let us begin with this wonderful message.

From the memory verse we are looking at today, we see that God instructed Jacob to move to Bethel. He made reference to the time where Jacob began his journey or calling ("... who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau?"). The question is why did God reference this event? Well, this because God wanted to prompt Jacob; telling him that his journey is not over; but has just began! Imagine!

We all-I am sure Jacob himself, at that time- thought that his (Jacob's) return home was the end of his journey. God had other plans! Imagine Jacob’s age at that time; God still called Him! Today, I have been sent to tell you not to get comfortable where you are! God is not done with you! Hallelujah!

Many people get comfortable when they think that they have arrived at their destination. This makes them very complacent and at times, they shut their ears to God’s Word. Today, God is telling you. Yes, you reading this message! He is not done yet! He is about to call you once more. He has brought to this place because He is a just God. He knows what is in your heart. He wants to reward you for diligently seeking Him.

In this land, continue to be diligent and seek Him! He is about to start another journey with you which would end in a land bigger and better than you have ever imagined. Way better than where you are now. Way better than you have seen.! Hallelujah!

So today, I have been sent to let you know that it is not time to get comfortable, but it is the time to get ready! Learn a lot from the place you are now! It is the beginning of a journey to a glorious and beautiful place. It will blow your minds away! Just watch God as He does it! He makes all things beautiful! Amen!

The prayer below is for anyone who has been living a stagnant life! You have not progressed in any aspect of your life in the past few years. God is reaching out to you today. Give in to Him now, and your life would never be the same again!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

  1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

  2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!

  • Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!
