Topic: Must we separate ourselves to fulfill our destiny?

Bible Reading: Genesis 38
Memory Verse: Genesis 38:1
At that time, Judah left his brothers and went down to stay with a man of Adullam named Hirah.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? It is another wonderful week. This week, we are going to explore a new chapter in the book of Genesis. Are you ready embark on an exciting journey! I am! I hope that you are too! We would be exploring Genesis 38!
From the verse we are looking at, we see that Judah left his brothers; left his family to go out to another town and live with another town. Yes, Judah separated from his family; but is this for everyone? Does everyone need to move to a faraway place. In this context, we are talking about moving to another country, town or city!
I know, without the distinction, many would have questions concerning marriage, etc.! No! We are looking at relocating to another city, town or country. In the process, leaving your family and friends behind!
In Ghana, my home country, there are a lot of people who want to move out of Ghana to go to the United States, United Kingdom or any other Western country. They believe that their success is dependent on their location. I am sure that in other countries, the same happens. I am here to let you know that it is not everyone who has been destined to leave their families to a foreign land.
This why there are many people who are doing very well in their home country; despite the many struggles that the country experiences. Your destiny is fulfilled in many ways; which includes wealth (which are in many forms), etc. You also see people who think for God and themselves; make the decision to go and they go further and further away from God.
As Christians, we must always be in line with God’s promise for us. We must always ask God what He plan for us is and listen to Him! It might seem that some people are doing really well; however, everyone’s path is different. God made us different. There are some things we can handle; that your sibling is not! There are some things that your siblings can do; that you cannot! That is how God has created us!
Know that for some; God tells them to leave for a short time! He wants that person to learn something from that experience. He also tells us to leave at a particular time! But what a lot of people forget about, is the work that has to go with it! You have to diligently seek God and work hard to grow in Him. The work you put it is a marker to show God how ready you are for the next stage. So are you putting in enough work? Think about it! Work= Preparation= Clarity in Christ= Destiny!
Today’s theme really resonates with me! After High School, I thought that I was supposed to go study in the UK. In the end, I stayed in Ghana. I am currently enrolled, in what I will say, is one of the best universities in the whole of Africa. God wanted me to stay to learn a few important things and draw closer to Him. I have been able to achieve many things by staying in Ghana. God has opened so many doors for me! For that, I am very grateful!
Unlike me, my sister is going to pursue her undergraduate degree in the UK. I have come to realize that, going to the UK, is God’s plan for her. We are different people. We have different paths, different assignments, different destinies. Just because I stayed, does not make me under her or less of a person! I know and trust that God has great things in-store for me- no matter the country I end up in!
I hope that sharing my story helps a bit! Do not be discouraged! God is with you! He knows you better than you know yourself! He knows all your hidden gifts and talents! He knows the kind of battles you can handle. Trust Him! He has made the best decision for you! Hallelujah!
The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God but has heard of Him. Anyone who has the urge to join God’s family. He is here to help you through life and all its challenges. All you have to do is make the decision and say this prayer!
Dear Lord,
I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board. You can now be exempted from the wrath of the enemy and of God. Not only do you experience this, but your whole family as well. Wow! Isn’t the God you serve so cool? He is. Not only do you enjoy this, but you enjoy other blessings God has in store for His children.
Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;
Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.
Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.
I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out. Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful day and let God inspire you!

Always remember to show love to everyone, as this is one of the most important commandments God left for us – “Love your neighbor as yourself.” In every situation, before you take a decision, remember WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). Shalom.
