Today’s message will be highlighting God’s Forgiveness. As I was thinking about this series, the Holy Spirit helped me to understand that all the different aspects of forgiveness work together in a system. You need to have done one to do another. You cannot just jump to the last aspect. It is a step-by-step process. Let us get right into this message!
The next step after Forgiving God is to seek God’s Forgiveness. You have to ask God to forgive you for thinking and feeling the way you did. Why? Well, this is because during this period; we drew away from God. This may or may not have led us to do wrong things. We need to ask God for forgiveness so that He cleanses us of all the negative emotions and helps us to draw nearer to Him.
Seeking God’s Forgiveness is an important step for the next stage of forgiveness- which is forgiveness of others. From Ephesians 4:32, we see that we can forgive others, be kind to others and tenderhearted towards others because God has forgiven us. God’s forgiveness gives us the power and ability to forgive others.
Lastly, we need to seek for God’s forgiveness so that we can unburden or hearts and get our lives back on track. After taking the first two steps of forgiveness, you realize that a lot of the weight you used to carry is slowly minimizing. Yes that is what forgiveness does! When we seek God’s forgiveness, that feeling of heaviness reduces immensely. God takes away the pain and fills it with peace, joy and love. With this, we are set back on the right path. We can re-direct our lives and focus on preparing our land.
Today, I am here to encourage you to continue this journey of forgiveness. We have started the week on a very good note. Let us end on a good note! Now, I would like to urge you to take a few minutes off and say a short prayer to God. “Ask God to forgive you of all your shortcomings! Ask God to fill you and renew your heart! Ask Him to direct your life! Lastly, ask Him to fill you with peace, joy and love!” Amen!
This step is a very important one! This step also bring healing to our hearts, minds and souls. We might have gone through one the worst pitfalls in our lives; we need to seek God’s forgiveness, so He recharges you and shows you a clear path to lead. I encourage all of you to take this bold step and believe in God’s powerful love! Hallelujah!
Have a wonderful week and let God inspire you!
