Good morning ladies and gentlemen! How was your weekend? Mine was good! I got to relax and spend time with my family! I hope yours was great as well! I pray that this week is a better week for everyone! Amen!
Guess Whhattt!! It is the first message in the new series! We are looking at a series called “Daniel’s Dose!” For all those that guessed Daniel, congratulations! Kindly reach out to us! We have something store for you (in the next few months)!! I am very excited for this new journey! Are you? Well, let us get right through the message and explore a bit of what the book of Daniel has in store for us!
I have noticed that there are many Christians that do not know want they are stored up with! These “stored-up possessions" are giving by God. They are free gifts, God gives to His children. You do not need to fight for them. You do not need to kill for them. You do not need to hustle for them. These things are the traits (or what people call, “the qualities”) that you and I have within us.
As Christians, why do we fail to use these traits? Well, first of all, there are many Christians who do not know of these gifts God has given us. They are automatic; however, you need to exercise faith to express them. Once you give your life to Christ and ask Him to be your Lord and personal Savior, you are a new being. And like we have established severally, once your spirit is refreshed and new; so is your physical. When you give your life to Christ, you are renewed with these qualities or traits.
The key to unleashing these traits is your Faith, coupled with self-love. You need faith to accept the facts as they are told- as a child of God, you have been gifted certain traits. This faith is what would transform your mind and your heart- you know without doubt that God gave you these traits; you call them into being. You need self-love to know and understand that you are worthy of these gifts. You are worthy of the traits; by being true to yourself. By being, just the way you are! You do not need prove to anyone that you deserve the gift. It has been freely given to you!
I have noticed that many people have one of the duo. The key is to have a balance of both. Today, find out with of the two you are lacking in. If you need to work on your faith; you need to spend more time with the Word. The time you spent must be dedicated fully to God! There should be no distraction; you must focus and wait on God.
If your issue is with self-love, you need to confirm and proclaim these traits onto your life each day. They must become part of your daily affirmations. As you continue to repeat these words and/or statement repeatedly; you will begin to look at yourself in a different light. You will know and feel worthy of the traits.
The most important question is, “What are these traits?” Daniel chapter one verse four, outlines them beautifully! The verse says, “… young men without physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.” Wow! Look at these! God has given us the best qualities! Did you know you had all this?
I am overly excited! This is because I know that because I am a child of God, I am a young woman without physical defect, beautiful, show aptitude for every kind of learning, well-informed, quick to understand and I qualify to work at top companies/ offices. Wow! I love the sound of that. Have a go!
I encourage everyone to take this verse! Put your name in it! Personalize it! Say it to yourself! Write on your wall! Save it on your phone! Feel good about it and embrace it! For the part of the verse which says, “…qualified to serve in the king’s palace..,” you can put your number one goal or goals. This is because to be qualified to work for the King, means that you are the right person. You have the right skills, knowledge and expertise! Look at it this way, would the President select an unskilled and unqualified person to be a minister? NO!!
