The Recap (Esther's Glory)- Part 1 (Esther 1)

Topic: The Recap: Part 1- Esther 1

Bible Reading: Esther 1

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! How are you doing? I hope you had a wonderful day, and you are having a wonderful evening! By God’s Grace, we are alive to see another day! Have you showered gratitude towards God for all the things He has blessed you with? If you haven’t, spend a few minutes of your time to say a short prayer of appreciation to God; for all He has done and continuous to do in your life!

All too soon, we have come to the end of the “Esther’s Glory” series! Can you guess the next book we are going to cover? If you have any comments or thoughts on the next book, you can leave it at the comments section at the bottom of this message! Before we delve into another journey through a wonderful book in the Bible, let us recap all that the book of Esther has taught us over the past few weeks! Today, we would be doing a recap of Esther 1- Issues one and two of the Esther’s Glory series!

[This recap would highlight the salient points we shared in Issues 1 and 2 of the said series! If you have not read it yet or would like to refresh your memory on them, you can visit the “Sammie’s Daily Dose” page on our website to gain access to these posts. Well, let us get right in!!]

One of the key messages that Esther 1 highlights is that God has a grand plan for His children and that grand plan is already in motion! It is important to note that things don’t happen by chance! All the difficulties we go through; all the good things that happen in our lives, is all part of God’s plan for our lives!

Indeed, it is true that at times the battles we face seem to have no end or no possible solution in sight! Oh, but there is! The God that you serve already has a plan in place! You may not see it, but God is working! In fact, you are already victorious! Do not fret! Do not worry! Just as God delivered His people by first of all dethroning Queen Vashti and placing Esther as Queen; so, He is fixing everything in place for you! We just haven’t figured it out or seen the clear plan! God is working; so be encouraged! Everything is sorted- no matter what you’re going through!

Secondly, the said chapter in Esther teaches that nothing or no one is greater than God! In Esther 1, we see that King Ahasuerus’ power and wealth was described in detail! Despite the king’s vast power and wealth, he was no match for our God! God was able to take care of His people and preserve their lives!

Here, God is reassuring us that no matter who or what we come up against in our journey; God is bigger and greater than all! At times, when we face people who have more money, more power or more intellect than we do; we easily crawl back and begin to panic! God is assuring and re-assuring us in this chapter, by encouraging us to stand strong in Faith. Why? Well, it is quite simple! Because we have the backing and authority of Christ! No one or nothing can pull us down! Heaven and Earth (and all it comes with) belongs to God! Is anyone (or anything) here on Earth greater than God?

The answer to the above question is very simple and obvious! My dear brother and sister in Christ, God loves us so much! He would not let anything happen to us! We are so precious to Him! That is why He is with us, protecting us and guiding us each day! That is why He has a grand plan set in place for us! Do not worry! Do not fret! The enemy can not contend against us (children of God) and win! With beautiful songs on our lips, let us praise God for all the great things He has done and is about to do for us! God bless!

Have a wonderful evening and let God inspire you!

Today’s prayer:

Dear Lord,

I thank you for my life. I thank you for giving me another beautiful day. I ask that you guide me and protect me. I pray that I will choose you in every situation that I face. And that my life will be a testimony and an example to many that I have Christ living in me. Thank you, Lord, for sending your son to die on the cross and wipe my sins away. I lift your name high for you are Alpha and Omega. Amen!

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

The prayer below is for anyone who does not know God or maybe has been apart from God for a while. God is here to pour His favor over your life. All you have to do is call out to Him. Make that decision today!

Dear Lord,

I come to you today as a sinner. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus is your Son and He came on to this earth to die for my sins. Dear Lord, let your Son come and fill me. Lord, I ask that He cleanses me off my sins. I am ready to stand for you and profess your Name. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

If you repeated this prayer with all the sincerity of your heart, congratulations!! You are now a part of God’s family. Welcome to the greatest family ever. Heaven is jubilating on your arrival. Your fellow brothers and sisters are also excited to have you on board.

Being a child of God is a wonderful thing. The road might not always be easy, but God is with you each and every step of the way. Guiding you, helping you and encouraging up. You will never regret this decision; I can assure you of that. Two things I would recommend for you to do are;

1. Get yourself a Bible (in a version you understand) and meditate on it day and night. In Joshua 1:8, we are told that when you meditate on the Word day and night, you will be prosperous and successful.

2. Find a Bible- believing church to attend and fellowship with other Christians. This would help you grow spiritually.

I am excited that you made this decision. Welcome! If you would like some help or more understanding into anything, you can leave a message (adding your email address) and I would be willing and happy to help you out!
